Sitting and Special Events Schedule
The Vista Zen Center is open for sitting:
Monday – Tuesday
8am – 10:00 am
Tuesday Evening
6:30pm – 8:45pm
Sunday Morning
8:20 am – 10:30am
10:50 am – 12:00 pm
Please arrive at least 10 minutes early.
Zazenkai – One day retreat
A zazenkai is usually scheduled for one Saturday or Sunday each month. The zazenkai begins at 8:30am with three 25 minute sitting periods followed by a talk. A potluck lunch is served at noon followed by a short rest period. Then, a 30 minute work-practice period followed by two more 25 minute sitting period conclude the day around 4pm.
The suggested donation fee is $16
Intensive Retreats - 3, 5, and 7 day
All students are encouraged to attend retreats full or part-time. Retreats help to center the student and build mindfulness. Please visit the center for the daily retreat schedule.

Movie Night
Vista Zen Center hosts a movie night every two-three months. It’s very popular event. A potluck dinner is served at 6pm followed by a movie.
